Only shooting stars break the mold 💚

Only shooting stars break the mold :

Pictured here by @nasahubble is FS Tau, a young multi-star system about 450 million light-years away from us. The all-star responsible for this cosmic lightshow is FS Tau B, a newly-forming star (or protostar) living in the star system.

Protostars are known to eject quick jets of energized material as shown by FS Tau B’s blue stream of material blasting through the nearby nebula.

What would the world do without Hubble, other than be devoid of images like this? You and your friends can find out in our first ever tabletop role-playing game, The Lost Universe. In this #TTRPG campaign, Hubble disappears from Earth’s timeline, and you and your party aim to uncover what was lost. Up to the challenge? Download the game documents from the link in bio and embark on your adventure.

Image description:

In a background of black space and a smattering of red stars is FS Tau. The protostar FS Tau B is in the far right of the image—a small glint obscured by a vertical, dark band. Its electric blue jet shoots across the image, cutting through a wispy nebula consisting of webs of white and orange gas.
